It is interesting that sometimes in politics you will see strange bedfellows. As I read this thread - the truth uncovered, it really amuses me and only reinforces the hypocrisy we sometimes find ourselves in. I am willing to believe that maybe Waa Juwara would rather see the APRC candidate win against the UDP candidate, of course I do not know that for a fact, but that in itself does not make him an APRC. I am also willing to go out on a limp and say that the majority of UDP supporters, including Mr. Darboe would love to see Halifa looses his seat and deny NADD any chance of winning a seat in the national assembly, even if it means having an APRC National Assembly. Again, that does not make him or UDP supporters become APRC. Remember NADD call for an Alliance to work with all oppostion parties against the APRC, and UDP did not answer to this call. As the Chairman of the STGDP, we have made reaching out and took steps to facilitate a tactical alliance ,and could not get any
kind of
commitment from the UDP. MAybe, it is an unfair statement to make, but I personally believe that the UDP's mission in this election is to settle scores with NADD. It should not be a surprise if Waa Juwara and some NADD supporters wish the same thing towards the UDP.
Let us all stop the hypocrisy, and accept that these past three years in the run to the presidential elections, there are certain realities that can ever be pushed away under the rug.
