Laye, please do not loose sweat on Abdou. You think he did not know that.
Thus, I did not even bother to respond to that silliness. We have an
opportunity to correct our mistakes and to give the voiceless, voice in the
NA. Like many that care, we cannot afford to throw the towel out on people.
They need us more than ever, and when you're trying to get rid of a
dictator and a mindset, the journey is never short, for you will also fight
some of the very people you are fight for and with, along the way. In the
process we are going to get frustrated, discouraged, and sometimes downright
exhausted, and it is ok to rest for a while, but continue to endure we must.
Even if our generation did not succeed, those that will come after us will
have a roadmap to see whence we came from and continue with the struggle.
We are all concerned but in different ways. I am, because you, Lamin,
Sidebeh, Jobateh, and many many others refused to give up. That counts a
lot, just ask Nelson Mandela. You know we had had many trials at the STGDP,
but the strength of that organization lies in its diversity and
representation by Gambians. We were meeting fatigue and had a brief rest
during Ramadan. It is time for us to get back to the unfinished business of
Gambia. Gambians in the diaspora still care about their country and I am
certain that they will continue to play their role and even more, this time
around.
