Donations are also being collected by Dave Manneh in England. I meant to say "the founding of which" in lieu of what I wrote. Pardon the language gaffe, please.

Soffie

Subject: SIMMA Vocational Training Institute

Greetings everyone.

As SIMMA Vocational Training Institute awaits the outcome of grant requests, they are in dire financial straits, in urgent need of our help to take care of operating costs associated with running the center. I come to you, on their behalf, to ask for monetary donations. Donations can be mailed to:

Soffie Ceesay
45 Kinsman View Circle
Silver Spring, MD 20901

I can pick up your donations if you live in the DC metro area as well. Just let me know via email.

SIMMA vocational Training Institute was the brainchild of Satang Jobarteh (may her soul rest in peace), the found of which became a reality in 1991. Satang, an inspiration to me and many others, married her words to action and worked tirelessly to improve the social, economic, and political well-being of our women, young or old and the disenfranchised.

The programs offered at SIMMA's training center focus on empowerment through counseling, advocacy, sensitization, skills transfer, etc. Students get training in courses such as accounting, computer literacy, business studies, business communication and office practices, handicrafts, etc. The center has 141 students, graduating every 2 years who are then sent on attachment or provided with small revolving loans to start their own businesses.

Your assistance is needed, urgently. Please help.

Thank you,
Soffie
