I am so proud of you. Your points really hits home. I do not understand why
Gmabians can be proud of a cultural practice that is so harmful to our
sisters. It really breaks my heart. I have not seen or read about a society
that have never gone through cultural revolution which the Gambia is now
facing and to deny or suppress it is to deny and suppress democracy for the
21st century Gambia. We must be willing and prepared to address cultural
practices in our society that are harmful and destructive to humanity in our
societies if we want to nurture and sustain democracy. We must respect our
females and understand their pain. May God bless us all.
