Fellow Gambia L Members,
I am currently researching and writing on the Gambian
coup of 1994. A colleague of mine from Ghana suggested
to me that it might be a good idea to get perspectives
from some of you. I don't know why I never even
thought about that. In any case I need your
perspectives. What do you think are the lessons of the
1994 Gambian coup for Africa and for democracy?
Given the number of foiled counter coups that had
taken place since 1994, do you think Gambia needs an
army?
 regards,
Momodou Loum.
