FYI

 Hotep (Peace) Brothers and Sisters
I wanted to make you aware of a movement to prevent African-centered
historical
information from reaching brothers and sistsers on the college campuses. An
 article called <A
HREF="http://www.ferris.edu/isar/arcade/afam/academic.htm
<http://www.ferris.edu/isar/arcade/afam/academic.htm> ">African American
Racism
in the Academic Community was written by Barry Mehler, founder of the
Institute for the Study of Academic Racism (ISAR). ISAR staff works with
Congress and the Justice Department. The group maintains an on-line archive
to
promote research on "academic racism." They monitor "campus racism" and are
supposed to be a resource center for legislators, journalists and civil
rights
 groups. Guess who they're monitoring?
Mehler's main objective is to rid the college campuses of our
African-centered scholars and speakers. He writes against Dr. John Henrik
Clarke, Dr. Ben, Dr. Leonard Jeffries, Professor Tony Martin and our own
Ashra
 Kwesi.
Mehler was livid when he found that students of African descent are being
exposed to information that has not been sanctioned by white folks. He also
saw
that some students have access to African-centered materials on their
campuses.
Mehler was infuriated to learn that a Black faculty member on his campus
(Ferris) not only had a copy of Ashra's tape on the African Origins of
Judaism
and Christianity, but made it available for students. After viewing the
tape,
Mehler, (a so-called Jew), was so upset that he rallied knee-grow faculty
members and the administration to have it and other African-centered
materials
 banned.
The article on so-called "African American Racism in the Academic Community"
was first published in 1993. Mehler was later quoted in a Time magazine
article dealing with "reverse racism" in 1994. You can take a look at his
 web page <A HREF="http://www.ferris.edu/htmls/othersrv/isar/resume.htm
<http://www.ferris.edu/htmls/othersrv/isar/resume.htm> ">Short Resume of
Barry Mehler, I also found that he's hooked up with the Whitehouse and is
part of Clinton's Initiative on Race. See <A

Mehler has been part of an on-going effort to destroy the African-centered
movement. It is part of the brain control machine that is working to mold
brothers and sisters into the way the oppressors want them to be. He has
advised the administrations and faculties at colleges around the country to
be
on guard and to respond against certain information coming on campus. He is
on
a mission to decide what our brothers and sisters need to know.
White folks realize the power of our knowledge. They know something about us
that they don't want us to know about ourselves. When they get on a mission,
they are 24-7 on the battlefield. We can never be complacent. We have to
make
other brothers and sisters aware of the efforts to prevent our "our story"
from
being told. We have to be vigilant, because our struggle continues.
Please pass this info on to other brothers and sisters who may be interested
in
finding out about the attack on the African-centered movement. The article
site
had been down for awhile, because the last time I saw it, I notified other
brothers and sisters. They bombarded Mehler's e-mail with protest letters.
He
has since changed the URL, but I happened to come across it again, while
checking the search engines. He probably figured we had forgotten about him.
The article on "African American Racism in the Academic Community" is long,
but
interesting. Take a close look at some of his phrasing.
 Hotep!
