Indeed a touchy subject, and a very broad one also. But I think it is worth
discussing and enlightening each other.
Brother Momodou, the sura and verse you quoted is indeed as it is translated
by both Yusuf Ali and the Medina group under the supervision of the Saudi
ministry of Islamic affairs, Endowment, Dawah and Guidance. But when you
look at the commentries, they make rather different emphasis. Hence my view
about the importance interpretation. When time allows "inhsallah", I will be
giving specifics of differennces in interpretation and emphasis between the
two, both of which I have infront of me.
In the mean time, we must thank sister Jabou for the great and rewarding job
she has embarked on, that is lesson on Islam.
