First of all Thanks Ebou and Karim for the words of encouragement with much respect please do also kindly accept my apologies if and when my postings offend anyone's feelings. Likewise respect my stand where ever I see only the creator and speak the truth because truth has no kin.
Well never will I give up my national obligation as a citizen.I was just completing some immediate needs here, thanks be to Allah He has given me far more than I even expected.

However every night when I relax on a good bed, facing the TV watching news etc, knowing in my mind that my own kids are going to and from good schools, the guilt of having been in a deceptive regime bites me deep inside. If I say to anyone that I have not regretted having been misled or I un willingly had to cause any wrong towards The Gambia (in some instances) while serving under Yaya am lying! I have not regretted serving my nation but when I think about all that I know now and what I thought was ok (on the whole!!!!) No doubts it pains me!

Where I am now am really ok God knows am not lying my good friends! Here I am seeing my kids, other family members so happy, but I do always feel sorry and ask myself...why not wish the same thing to those villagers back home?
I cannot convince anyone who may hate me or distrust the totality of anything about my past as someone who worked under Jammeh! but ALLAHU AKBARR knows that I am into this fight now not to wash myself or be selfish.I am into it because I have BEEN TAUGHT A NEW LESSON IN LIFE AFTER DEPARTING A REGIME THAT IS FULL OF MALICIOUS BRAINS WHO FEED ON SUSPICION OR EXCESSIVE GREED! I do aways ask myself:"Why didn't I have the chance to leave earlier than 2003?!!!" I do not want to commit any more sins,so I do leave that to God for HE chose that path for me and others.God Himself knows me and He also knows Yaya more than anyone of us does. However,He the same God loves those who speak out in all honesty what they know(good or bad)during reckoning or judgements.I have no doubts in my mind that The Gambia has reached a period where reckoning has started.Yaya may still feel that he is ok and all those he is pointing fingers at now are bad but let him remember that not everybody is abandoned by
God! I am not! I know what God has done for me since I departed his government. I have always believed that the FUTURE BELONGS TO GOD! Those who remind me about what I wrote here years back in support of Yaya can as well go through those very archives and see if I did not write the above repetitively in my postings? I have always been going through some surprises(very good achievments personally from 2003 to now). Was Yaya there to give me those good achievements? Absolutely not! So all that counts in one's life is nothing more than genuinely being faithful to one's Lord.
That is what has convinced me to stand up and be counted right here in this life therefore say all that I believe is being hidden by this regime.I would not have reacted this way if Yaya did not attempt leading a crusade against people he calls DIRTY today while he needed their services yesterday when he was a total TABLA RASE in politics.
Many people would also say why talk now Essa?! To those people I will in turn ask why not talk now?! I will also ask them why do all of us believe that Yaya's boys attempted lawyer Sillah's life? If such good people like Lawyer Sillah could not escape the killing and bloody anvil of Yaya'sworkshop then would Essa have escaped when the fruits were tasted and they turned sour? No!
So Karim,Ebou and all those who are interested in sharing information for the sake of knowing how to help our country avoid repeating these deadly socio-economic mistakes, please see my contributions as nothing other than an inner voice in Essa being guided by God to tell the truth!
I am never scared of anyone to make me say sweet or negative words for the sake of making friends or losing them either.Yaya Jammeh himself knows that if he was not guarded by an army, police, marauding killers (who lack basic training or security-discipline),he very well knows who all of us were in gendarmerie before his eyes! There are some on line who can confirm that part of the story no need to speak for myself. So anyone who says...Those abroad come home and face Yaya if you are brave are making mistakes. There is a big difference between being brave and being STUPID! Tell me a story of any past warrior who never went out of his or her territory for some time in history while gathering more facts and forcce to justify future battles or sacrifices? None existed! Laying down tactics,or staying away and then spreading the truth for the benefit of others is not cowardice.Any country in the west that protects people from persecution has an army! Why do those countries protect foreigners
and then send their own sons and daughters abroad to fight? Because the latter is a justified way to fight while the former is more or less SUICIDAL if left alone. Psychologists have proven that those who willingly commit suicide are not mentally ok! How can one justify helping his or her own people by committing suicide under an ill disciplined army of killers? No way. Therefore my believe is that whether one is near Yaya or in Heathrow all that matters is leading a decent life and being truthful to one's Lord at all cost.Being near Yaya does not mean being brave.Yaya himself knows in his heart who is brave and who is not jokes apart or prejudice apart.

On that note please brothers and sisters never think that Essa Sey is here because he lost a job! Or he is yearning to be part of a new opposing force. Even now that the APRC is seeing weakness in camps that are opposed to them,I am more steadfast in telling Yaya the truth. My goal is not winning points against APRC or something like that.My goal is to respect God's teachings and serve the people by reminding an old friend(who is now totally swallowed by greed and power!!!) to stop and think. He Yaya should know that he only has two thinks now: STATE HOUSE/BANK ACCOUNTS.These two do evaporate in a second. What stays? One's legacy! Is Yaya convinced that he is making a good legacy? No doubts that is what he thinks, because I know Yaya very well! Is that the reality? Well let him listen to his arch critics(people he call enemies) and see.Yaya is far from making a good legacy. He started it but has shattered everything!

For God's sake my critics or those blinded by past exeriences be objective for a second at least. One thing is certain ie I have a much better life now than when I was under this regime so please stop wasting your time(those who think that I am angry against Jammeh because my former job under him is no more!). Find out you will discover the truth life's sweet candies aren't all kept in Kanilai please! But how cool can our lives be if our own people are crying back home?! Never can that be. When ever Yaya goes many will be surprised! when they see me reject high gvt positions after Yaya. That will justify the means.
Please let us cooperate and forget about the "EGO SYNDROME" national develoment shuns the "EGO SYNDROME!" We have to rely on one another in honesty and truth if we need God's services! Rectifying people by hatred, ill will, suspiscion, carved and classified prejudice etc does not help in an episode like this one.Whether we agree or not Gambia has a problem and it is only Gambians who can solve it period! Some do easily jump on the wagon and say:Yes you were there so you are part of the problem. To those people I say: THAT IS NOT THE WHOLE TRUTH.Scienctifically we all know that bacteria helps turn fresh milk to sour.Do we reject sour milk? No! What do we use to help us eat it after using the services of bacteria? Well some use sugar or just drink it that way! In politics we have ameobas, bacteria, lava;mosquitoes and the like! It may sound philosophical or even crazy for some. But! remember that no one can ever fell a tree very quickly without an axe or chain saws etc! What those handles
 made of? Wood!
The rest you can think and understand on your own Essa will stop there.

I Essa Bokarr Sey knows very well that I served under Yaya Jammeh. I was also serving at the same ministry before Yaya Jammeh came in! Bolong Sonko,Sedat Jobe,Larry Ceesay,Musa Sillah,Fafa Mbye etc etc were also there!
Are the above to be thrown away because they tasted Yaya's pay slip? Absolutely not true!
Sedat's services are still needed and being used by others outside Banjul.Former senior military officials like "Zemass" Lt Marong,Alhaji Kanteh,Binneh Minteh,Omar Fye Ebrima Chongan are still absolutely needed in The Gambia. Have all of them served under Yaya? No! Some did, some did not.But would anyone tell me no future army needs all of them? Of course not.Helping a future gvt does not only mean holding positions in that gvt! No!
Here comes wisdom.....Rectify,punnish(if the degree of offence merits that),educate the others in prison etc and then move on.
My fear for Yaya is that he does not listen and he is not the best out the lot either,he knows that very well.Luck cannot be locked in one wish and then thats it. Yaya has to know that if there were no soldiers,no army,no amoury(arms made ny others),no population,HE WOULD HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN A PRESIDENT! Yaya has to know that accpeting wrong, apologising to even his own daughter Myriam is no sign of weakness! That infact would add his strength.Yaya has to know that NOT EVERY PERSON CAN BE THREATENED OR SNUBBED BECAUSE HE IS THE PRESIDENT! There are people who would rather die than accept threats! Even the cows are treated differently when they come home in the evening. There are bulls that are tethered, others are left untethered. That does not mean there is no shepherd! People are the same.My grand father once told me something when I joined the army in 1985.He said to me:" Essa when you are a shepherd for goats, you use only one cane to controll all of them, but when you are a shepherd
of people, you have to know one thing ie you must use different canes for different people. No single cane can control every person on earth!" Yaya has to know that his cane for wrong doers should be different from opponents, likewise others within The Gambia.Yaya has to know that he cannot be an Imam,a Reverend,a Pastor,an Alkalo,a gifted spiritual leader,a dangerous commando,a mysterious person and the like all at once! He may think he is that but let him think deep and revisit his soul with an objective perspective at least for once! Yaya should identify those who want him in because they fear the future and those who want Gambia to move ahead because they fear THE LORD OF THE UNIVERSE BEING THE ONE WHO CONTROLS NOW AND AFTER!

We will continue the journey we have started in all honesty and pray to God for guidance.

Yours Sincerely and Humble Citizen of the land we share.

Essa Bokarr Sey.

Essa,

This is a very thoughtful insight, and I hope the Coalition Leaders should draw from your initiative to pressure for a broader probe beyond the dubious MA Paul commission. The opposition should be proactive and not reactive to Jammeh's malicious malarkeys. A probe into the presidency is a political action which only the opposition/ civil societies can initiate, and NOT any other judicial commission.

Your insight on public disclosure of all Jammeh's secretive activities is a sure road to the dictators eventual downfall...Besides, the opposition has more than ample info/evidence to crucify Jammeh...(You know the compendium of abuses and corrupt engagements that was discretely passed on to the opposition).

Ebou
