Habib,

(Like Habib Koite),

You know that I’m not in a Gambian Forum to discuss Zionism. I’d rather
discuss Pan-Africanism.

But if you bring up such subjects, I will put in my two cents worth.

I have Palestinian Muslim friends such as Fah’d Ahmed, Mustapha Gibril Yamani,
Marxist friends such as Jamal, Christian friends too, friends in Gaza, Nablus,
and have no problem with any of them.

I don’t know any sister Jabou. Who is she? I think that Zionism would be more
a part of Hamelech, than berg...... (that was supposed to be a joke) Berg is
only a mountain……

There is NOTHING racist about Zionism. Show me where the racism is.

The slave trade? Darfur? Plenty of racism there.

I have great sympathy for the Palestinian people. In 1986, I listened to the
Mayor of Gaza, Mr. Shawaal, at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs. I
was sitting about a yard opposite him and witnessed him shed tears, big tears
rolled down the cheeks of this big man, as he spoke about the children in the
overcrowded slum that is Gaza, children without playgrounds,. He was
appealing to the Swedish government to help them build a harbour so that
they could export their tomatoes which were otherwise laying in heaps to rot.

About that time, I was also giving sadaka, the little that I had.

Israel left Gaza, lock, stock, barrel, and see what they are doing. FIRING
rockets into Israel, causing havoc, instead of settling down to develop their
piece of territory, building tunnels through which to smuggle weapons from
Egypt. More trouble.

If I had wanted to, I could have married a Palestinian woman. Such an
arrangement was in the works. I did not for several reasons, one of them being
that at this period of the national life of Palestinians, I thought that for
continuity of the Palestinian generations, and for better prospects of that
consciousness continuing it would be better for her to marry a Palestinian
brother……….

There is a way out. What is the point of blowing innocent people up and going
to hell in the process of creating a so called Islamic State?

In the meantime, just as ultra orthodox people like Sat mar and Neturei Karta
want the Messiah to establish Zion, so too some Muslim voices wonder why
the neighbouring Arab nations keep the Palestinian refugees in camps ( just to
point an accusing finger at Israel).
Why these refugees cannot become nationals of their host countries.
Which Palestinian is willing to wait for the Mahdi (a.s.)?

This is the kind of leader that Prof Paul Eidelberg would like us to have:

Whatever new government comes into force in Israel will take measures that
are more drastic to protect the lives of the Jewish people in Isreal. The
Palestinian leadership could be wiped out. What will happen? Sheikh Yasin was
targeted from an Apache helicopter as he left the fajr prayer. Rantisi was
translated from life, and the mobile phone exploded in the ear of engineer
Ayash, the bomb-maker.

The backers of HAMAS, such as Iran, I do not think want a two-state
solution. They do not want the “Zionist entity” to exist.

Suppose someone said that they did not want the Gambia to exist. How would
you go about negotiating with such a person?

I have a plan. Seriously, I do. Even before Hamas WON THE ELECTION. But
will they listen?

This is what a Sierra Leonean Roland Bankole Marke wrote:

“ Pundit dubbed it that God has left Sierra Leona
The blind beggar with leprosy and stretched hands
Pursuing sojourners with fixed eyes expecting alms”

There too are problems. The Sierra Leone presidential and Parliamentary
elections are on 11th August……

I think sister Jabou has revealed your true identity in her last response ,,
your berg name has zionism written all over it- your boss must pay you well
for such fabricated stories meant to distract and distort facts and insult the
real victims .No one has anything against the religion called Judiasm , it is
racist zionism that most peace loving and just people are againt. Please do
some justice to your conscience and put your self in the position of those
oppresed palestinian peoplewho are being hit from all angles even from thier
own arab and muslim so called brothers.

remember that justice will prevail as we saw in south Africa .why are you so
defensive and ivasive i just wish we all think of the helpless victims in those
camps and refugee centers being robbed of thier degnity and honr daily
good night
