 Hello Pa Karamo,

Unless Mr. Saidy changes his mind, he has said that he is neither
contributing nor entertaining any more comments as far as this particular
issue is concerned. Please help us if you can. Whose passport is being
seized? This is a multimillion dollar question that everybody is asking. Yet,
someone has to come up with a name or names of Gambians whose passport or
passports have either been seized or denied renewal. Unless this happens,
there is nothing Mr. Saidy or anybody for that matter can do anything about
this. So as far as this particular issue is concerned, it is merely an
allegation and not a fact yet. Moreover, Mr. Saidy was going to volunteer to
assist in the investigation provided he knows the name of the person being
mentioned in this allegation. However, it is not incumbent upon him to do so.
Please remember that he occupies a totally different portfolio at the moment.
He must be very generous. It is indeed significantly paramount for one to
understand what to report. We must be cautious of pseudo-reporting,
especially when it can cause public phobia.

 S. S. Saidykhan.

This one isn't public phobia, and the person conserned is afraid for his
family members back home. If it was up to me, l would have put his name on
the very first posting. Having said that, would the government not want to
clear their name if they claim the allegation is false? Sure makes sense to
do so if this is the case. Mr Saidy sent a secret email instead of coming out
initially on this forum and denying the allegation. Moreover, based on the
information given about this person, you bet the government knows better than
anyone which individaul we are referring to. Let them investigate the case
and proove us wrong. What should be of even more concern to us is that this
family fears a retaliation on their loved ones back home. Does that fear
exist in a place where people's rights are protected? l guess the reaction of
the skeptics is just a good example of the monkey story l just read on this
list. And we think we are going to see changes in our country soon?
