  Vote apathy has never been a tradition in The Gambia. Even the 1982 General Elections which was held during a STATE OF EMERGENCY had a larger turnout than this one.  Its either these votes were bought or that voters were intimidated.

so many voters "stayed home" in a country were voter apathy is definitely no
