I stand here today in keeping faith with our rich Gambian culture.
I will not resort to insulting anyone on the L. It is really
frightening that a person who claims to be an advocate for the
Gambian people is the one sleeping with the enemy. We need
phone records for the last six months to dispel the rumor.
It is apparent that records must be shown for us to even take the
person seriously. I have yet to get a response on the phone
records for the last six months.

Joe, even if Jasseh-Conteh's adopted positions are mired in
contradictions, it simply does not follow that he should be called a
liar, through and through. That is simply unacceptable.
The Jammeh regime will not be nudged from power as a direct consequence
of discourse conducted on Gambia-L,and whatever methods we adopt for that
purpose are defeated if discourse itself collapses under the ignoble
weight of invectives.
You can simply point out Conteh's contradictions, reject his calling
respectfully, and persuade us to move on. Dialog is the key, and decent
dialog is simply impossible if it has to be punctuated with insults, with
or without an Alternative.
