Here it is stated the ingredients used and everything is in the open.
Just as I mentioned earlier on the cure of yellow fever. The only known 
person who had this remedy in the Gambia is Ya Neneh Cham of Bakau.
She normally gives you a bottle with a liquid mixture of banana leaves and 
roots. You take it early in the morning and wont eat until around 12 mid-day 
then you take the rest the following day and you are cured.   The price was 
only two dalasis.

At least she tells you what you consume.
