Gibby, thanks for your interest.  Briefly, during the on-line commemoration
of the July 10/11 Massacre, Dr. Abdoulaye Saine proposed that we (Gambians
and friends of Gambia) start a "Save The Gambia Fund" for the purpose of
funding a United Opposition (coalition) for the 2006 Presidential elections.
  Contributors will pledge to donate a certain sum, monthly for this
purpose.  Some individuals just want to donate a one time lump sum of
whatever they can afford.  Right now, we a compiling a list of those that
wish to pledge and the list is closing to 50 and counting.  We have a
Preamble Draft for the management of the fund and the contributors will
dictate the course for this fund.  That is where we are at.

Seeing that it is a very good idea and one that has great potential for the
opposition, myself and a host of other Gambians and friends of Gambia jumped
in to help jump start the fund.  More info. and feedback is on the way, so
please stay tuned.  If you wished to pledge, just let us know and how much
you want us to put you down.  IF you wish to be anonymous, just send me a
private mail and I will assign you a number that is confidential to you and
myself alone, for your protection.  Please take a look at the preamble draft
