Ndey, thanks very much for giving us the realities on the ground. With all
the mistakes and criminal activity committed by most of the first generation
politicians in Africa, it should be a piece of cake for anyone to show good
faith effort to reversing the trends. Like Ghanains, Africans are willing
to delay gratification and walk up the hill with their leaders. It is the
leadership that is not willing to walk up the hill with the people, but
instead want to be carried up hill, fat and all. I am happy for the Ghanain
people and I think Kufor is on track to take Ghana to the next level. That
is the true meaning of constructive engagement, the leaders listening to the
wishes of the people and granting that wish. Now, do you think that if the
car loan issue was in The Gambia that the people would have any input or
even be aware of its exixtance? Not at all! Our strongman culture of the
APRC does not and would not allow such interaction. You see, we have a
Philosopher King and everyone else is stupid. I guess that's what our
people want, for they are all suffering, peacefully.

Chi Jaama
