Mr. Jassey-Conteh,

I am sorry to tell you this, but your plea is mis-directed, ill-informed and
totally inaccurate. Bajen Sooseh is/was a full time member of the APRC who
aspired to be selected to contest the forthcoming National Assembly
Elections on an APRC ticket. During their primaries, held throughout the
country, that saw the de-selection of atleast 2 or 3 sitting NAMs and the
selection of two women candidates, she polled less than 15 % of the number
of votes polled by the winner. She argued that more women should have been
selected and was told that that was up to constituent members and that the
constituent members had already made that choice. She later decided to stand
as an independent candidate while campaigning using APRC emblems and party
colours. This, she was told by the APRC party and by many, in a phone
program, that it was wrong and counter-productive. If she persists, isn't
that illegal? Is it wrong to arrest her if she continues to campaign using
APRC colours and paraphanalia? Come on, lets be logical about it and not be
sentimental about it. When you join a party you must abide by the rules and
constitution of the party and if you feel that you cannot abide by them you
are free to leave; but you cannot leave a party and campaign under the
party's colours as if you were contesting under their ticket.

Have a good day, Gassa.
