Subject: [Events Calendar] Wanted- African Businesses and Non-Profit: Tree
    of Africa Festival

What: Tree of Africa Festival
When: Saturday October 5, 2002
Where: St Mark's Cathedral, 1245 10th Ave (Capital Hill neighborhoord)
Seattle, WA USA.

Are you an African Business or Non-profit, or know of one? If so, I need to
hear from you before this Friday, September 20th! (Apologies for the short
notice!) This will be an opportunity for African owned businesses or
non-profits that do work in Africa or work on African issues in the USA to
showcase themselves. Exhibition entry for non-profits or individual business
folks that make their own products, e.g Arts and Crafts, musical
instruments, etc will be free. Entry fee for businesses that import products
from Africa is $50.

This festival will bring together all genres of African artists in a
celebration of Africa and its divers cultures. The day will include music,
art, food, poetry, and games, in various areas of the
Saint Mark’s Cathedral campus and will culminate with a main event in the
evening. It will bring together a wide variety of Africans, of all ages,
from all over the continent, to raise their voices in honor of Africa, their
heritage, their identity, and their future, and will colorfully illustrate
the many identities of Africa.

Admission to the day time activities will be by donation and the evening
concert and events will be $15 general, $10 for students, seniors and low
income. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketwindow (206) 325-6500 or online at
ticketwindowonline.com or in person at the St Mark's Cathedral shop.

Thank you,

Peter Masundire
Seattle,WA.
