Mr. Touray, thanks for the encouragement and I hope to make a small difference in the Gambia and beyond.  I am invited to Liberia as well.  I do believe as you do that the continent of Africa needs its able sons and daughters to implement sustainable development and to think that someone else is going to do it for us is a farce.  We need to take the bull by the horn and get on with the job.

We all are aware of the leadership problem in the continent and as a reuslt of which many of its brains are forced to stay away, consequently causing a lot of hardship for our brothers and sisters.  Lets remember that no condition is permanent except that of Allah (SWT) and wish some of these leaders realize this fact and do something good for their people.  A few are doing it but we need all of them to act.

For your information, I am from Jambanjelly in Kombo South District of Western Division and own a lot of vacant land in the area so I will be able to start some housing projects instantly.

THANKS MR BARROW.please come home and set up the gambia branch .the gambia needs
ustainable roads .the senegalise road builders may not do the genuine stuff for
s.just my guess.the road from serrekunda to sukuta is schedule to be
onstructed since last year i am told.but as usual ,the politicains plays there
ame perfectly.they don't travel on those bad roads.the able body gambians use
dvance four wheel drives that many gambians can't afford.the small low cars are
lways breaking down.my own father inlaw's german made benz breakdown on avearge
very two weeks.this is sad.
we will make special prayer for any one who help alevaite the road problem.i
now it is no child play ,it needs lots of money and our government don't have a
ine ,help,help help.
i am only worried about the over polulted towns in greater banjul.even the
arahulehs who usually like the rural areas are seen every were now.what is
appening ? the farmers are now city dwellers .what happen to back to the farm
logan ? haruna and baba ran to u.s ,ld ran to u.k,kabir in sweden ,momodou
amara in denmark ,now who is going to do the farming ? where is Dr jaiteh ?
here is Dr jeng ?
your people need some thing to hope on.
Mr barrow ,with your previoius expertise ,you will be useful to gambian people
i am not interested in the politics when real issues are concern.yes ,the
ystem need to change but when ? whilst curable deseases are killing many
whilst a medical reseacrh unit is made into a hospital (mrc) .how save is the
ambia ? whilst expired foods are in the supermarkets .i went into a supermarket
n the oldjewan road to buy a drink and the indain man told me ''this is all
ruits '' .i look at him with intense suspision .i forget to say that we now
ave indians invading the gambia .the lebanise are been maginalised .indian shop
very where.also indian engineers fixing fax macnines, photo copiers ,every
hing.if we let the indians take over ,we may as well go to casamase ,they have
ver 10 million human mouths to feed.
any help is needed.yahya was just from receiving some foreingn high
ommisioners.my neigbour jobes is now a captain .i mean lawyer jobarteh .he now
ave three wives.
to warn brothers ,there is a manyo fever going round.please be careful.i know
he nyanchos don't know when to say no ,but please don't fall in the trap.we
ave dangeous marabouts working for the ladies .some say even armpit hairs are
se to bewich the poor old fellows.talk less of other body hairs .they say the
ealous lady will burn the hair and mix it with some bad stuffs and then put it
n food or drinks .be careful mens.the gambia is now desperate.just a warning.if
ou believe you are kelifa sanneh or ngaling sonko then be my guest .

I enjoyed reading your narration of your trip to the Gambia.  I am very
amiliar with all these areas as these were under my division from 1991 to 1994
s a divisional engineer at Bakau R-Yard.  I was then on contract, hired by
NDP/World Bank from the States.  Anyway, I have my own construction company
ere in Florida and in December, I will be going to the Gambia to set up a
ranch of my company and hopefully will be engaged in high quality civil,
ommercial, and residential construction.  Please check out our website at
ww.barrowconstruction.com for more information.  I am attaching a couple of
ur finished products and one on going for everyone to see.
Thanks.

you are right jambarr.ebou town is equally bad ,i couldn't even find the old
royaa office .the road round that end is just nowhere.but from westfield to
mbo (senegambia garage) to bakoteh tipa garage .from tipa garage to sukuta
nchaba and sukuta sabige .pass through bakoteh is all hell holes.my cough is
tting worse .the dust, heat and the cars swinging at pedestrian is all a bad
cktail.now i travel by foot up to westfield and then i board the banjul
ns.come see the bluffs of the early morning van drivers.they choose where to
ck up passengers. people keep on saying BANJUL APARANTEH ,BANJUL ,BANJUL .may
after ten banjuls one van will stop .but then in midday ,the van drivers now
art calling banjul banjul.even in some parts of banjul the roads are bad.
on the talinding high ways ,the annoying traffic lights.the bad
ivers.drivers turning every where.vans stopping without warning .men ,the
mbia needs mental food .i show deyda halake at the air port bound for uk last
ek.
the budung road is also deteriorating fast .the ebrima ceesay inaugurated road
t the babun fatty area .the babun fatty arena area is also bad.we need masoud
d his talent to design sustainable roads.our people are suffering whilst you
t there are enjoying .from yero, bambalaye, yanks.men we need you folks.the
ternet cost D15 per hour .and you have to look over your shoulder incase any
BURAMA is looking .bye.
