I am looking for alumni of Seyfo Abu Khan's juvenile center/school. I
understand that Seyfo Khan in the 60s thru 70s ran what some would call
a juvenile center / school or boot camp primarily for Banjul boys. Of
particular interest is whether the arrangement was officially sanctioned
by the government or was it the all-powerful Khan's own making? What was
the school / center for, Juvenile boot camp or a Quranic school? How
were students admitted, court-ordered or was it by concerned parents who
were worried by their kids being influenced by life in Banjul in the
60s/70s. I can understand some people having difficulties in re-living
the time when boys were boys, but I equally believe that our history
needs to be recorded. And that even the most difficult stories deserve a
place in history. If you are or know someone who attended the school,
please send my a private mail.
