Hi Folks,

To GOD be the glory for giving me the opportunity to pursue  and
successfully complete my Ph.D. It is good to be back on the L now that
my most arduous task have been accomplished. I had to unsubscribe due
to work pressure . THANK YOU ALL for your messages of congratulations. I
am deeply touched. First it was Dr. Saidy,then my good friend Dr. Jaiteh
and now my humble self. I hope that members of the L can take
inspiration from our achievements just as we got inspired from the
likes of Dr. Saine and Dr. Katim Touray. We want to see more Gambian
women Ph.Ds. Step up to the plate. I am proud to be GAMBIAN today as we
all share one destiny irrespective of religious, cultural and tribal
affiliations.

To all you thinking of doing academic research my advice is to take up
the challenge. Do not let anybody tell you that it cannot be done. It is
not going to be easy but with determination, hardwork, perseverance and
dedication IT CAN BE DONE. Knowledge is power and education is like a
master key that opens all doors. My service is at the disposal of all
young Gambian economists and feel free to send me an e-mail. I hope
that i will be able to utilise my talents to serve humanity.

I cannot end without acknowledging the constant encouragement and
support i received from Sidi and Sheikh Tijan. You have been a big
brothers and real role models.

Its good to be back.Please find attached an abstract of my dissertation
for those interested. Che will send you a private e-mail.
