Plans in New York, were to commemorate the April 10-11, 2000 massacre and
maiming of demonstrating Gambian students by Yahya Jammeh's military goon
squad, with a panel discussion of ex-Gamsu Student leaders, victims of the carnage
and ex-military officers at the Gambian Society Hall. Due to time
constraints and logistics with travel arrangements for out of state/Canada panelists,
Free Gambia Radio and Movement for Democracy and Development will host a live
call-in show from New York, mainly with Ex-Gamsu Leaders, eyewitness/victims
students, activist and concerned friends of Gambia.
Program commence at 3.00pm Eastern Standard Time [20 hrs GMT].
Stay tuned for more details and info on program.
