Football coach For ACN 2008,
But how about The Gambia in the world Cup 2010 in South Africa ?

Urgent Financial budget and assistance is needed.
This is good news for The Gambian soccer fans. I do hope that they will create a financial structure that double track with the coach that the boys are contracted hired and paid by the state. The boys will deliever if they have a nice salary from now untill 2008, goal bonus and team effort bonus and sponsorship advertistment. The only way for a team to develpe is through team work, playing tournaments in various countries and to develope self confinence. The coach will only teach method formation and tactic but cabnnot teach them spirit.

Friendly games in South America
Only a coach is not enough to advance the game, a team chef that will nourish the boys these coming two years and they have to travell around the world especially in south America. We should take on countries like Brazil, Argentina, Chile and countries like Coplombia who have a similar tactioc of creative football and not like the German and European style of two steps forward and two steps backwards.

The Beckham Cross
(it can't win a game) tand this is the system of play in Germany.
David Beckham is English but his deadly rugby run and cross is all-European.
A Germann coach is not my cup of tea / but if you can't buy one ?????
European soccer is too measured and squared and not very creative. It does'nt move. You can see the top teams in Europe are croweded with South American players.' They do not dream like Beckham do', thinking and dreaming of the cross- ball. You can call Spain Portugal and Italy European countries but they play a different ball possesion play-style. A similar version of African and South American skills. The German soccer is heavy and demand alot of muscle and fighting spirit but you hardly see a touch of individual class in ceremonial display. Pele and Maradona sums it all. The Gambia has been offered a Brazilian coach but it did not went through. We still need to beat opponents and score goals so an attacking soccer concept fit the scopions than a defensive and a chess-game approach to the game. Gambia is a hungry lion for wins. Without these wins our players will never make the transfere list to major clubs to in-turn reflect their club support for Gambia soccer. Only
through winning there comes the demand.

Tournaments Always
I do not mind playing in teams Norway, Iceland and Arizona for practice and exercise but the main task is to take on a massive tournament tour-calenderand schudle of games for our boys in many countries before the final stages of these rounds. You have seen this this during the world cup that many teams played several friendly matchy even just a few days before the kick off of the world cup.Our boys should be camp in foreign countries and treated like STARS.

Attention and service to the national job
it is a two year project but within these two years we should raise our confidence level and compare our tactics with others. The financial structure must be there for the comfort and focus of the players on the game.

Marabout Warning
Please do not introduce this German coach to football marabouts for our new game plan. This will only confuse him and limit his input if he knows that Gambian magic works in soccer. Three months from now if you call the coach, I swear to Goid almighty he will tell you that some officials suggested this to him.. Some has to write it at the airport "Don't believe in Hornjome".

Make Goals and win games
Gambians have to start doing away with juju. In football juju cannot help because otherwise we have been to the world cup long time ago. We are one of the few countries in the world whoes state machanery is run by juju belief.
But we beart Brazil juniors 3-1.

"YENGAL BAYGIN".
(shaking the horn in the juju water calabass-)-

(Yengel Baygin x 3 and make a goal )

Gambia have ended their three-year search for a national team coach after
the appointment of German Antoine Hey on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old replaces local coach Sang Ndong, who was sacked in 2003.

Hey's main task is to qualify Gambia for their first ever African Nations
Cup finals in 2008.

The Scorpions lead Group Eight of the 2008 African Nations Cup qualifiers
after beating Cape Verde 2-0 in their opening match earlier this month.

Their next game is away to Algeria on 8 October.

"Currently we are lead our group and the match against Algeria is one of the
tasks ahead of us if we are to qualify for the first time,'' Hey told BBC
Sport.

Their other group opponents are Guinea.

Hey played for the Bundesliga sides Schalke and Fortuna Dusseldorf in the
1990s.

His only coaching experience was with the German lower division side
Neumunster in the 2003-2004 season.
