GOLD MEDAL DREAMS

There is a colum on the Daily Observer dated 3rd september entitled
"Olympic Results of The Gambia."
The message was forwarded by the humble sprint legaend Dodou Joof. As
titled in the newspaper it is suppose to be an Evaluation Report of what
happened, the successes and the misfortunes.The text did not address the
event and the athelets,the way forwards and the" IF's "and the "Should-
have beens",etc,etc.We are still waiting for the official evalution.
The youths of Africa are the new sporting icons of the globe now and
Gambia is a part of this.To succeed in sports you have to invest alot of
money in it and maybe the Gambia do not have it and the little we have
is better spent in other priorities
WE WANT TO KNOW THE SITUATION OF GAMBIAN ATHELETICS.

Quoated Remarks:
"Not like Football, all major Atheletic
events are sanction and approaved and the IAAF and
 an annual statistics of all results are circulated to all federations."
What do this mean? That we can't organise events and train for
competitions?Do we havee to submit an application?Does it require money
we do not have?

 The report was a forwarded statistical record of all the Atheletes and
in what event they particpated, what position and recorded time.This is
no news
.There should be a report on the FABRICATED EFFORTS  replaced by
training , financing and a sporting agenda.
We should address this urgently
