Mr. Colly, another insightful piece. I am sure Yaya and his cohorts will
find your information about the going rate on certain ‘privileges’ at Mile
II, very helpful. Only problem is, when the vermin are jailed after we get
rid of them, they will NOT have money to bribe corrupt prison officials.
They will only see their Swiss bank accounts in their nightmares. Eating
with forks and knifes and writing to their wives and husbands will be the
last things on their minds.

That aside, one thing eye-catching to me in your piece was your narration of
the events surrounding the November 1994 ‘coup’. Let us all remember what
the official AFPRC version is. According to Yaya and his cohorts, there was
a gun battle at the Fajara Barracks and the alleged coup plotters were shot
in ‘hot-blood’ in the heat of battle. As far as the AFPRC is concerned,
there were no summary executions. Lt. Saye and others were killed in the
heat of battle at Fajara on that fateful night. Despite that people have
come forward to state categorically that Saye was at home on the night he
was supposed to have been shot in a gun fight, this bunch of criminals we
have back home are still insisting on this ridiculous story that Saye was
shot at ‘Depot’.

Well, you just unwittingly placed another piece to the puzzle. Now, together
with other accounts we have heard stating that Saye et al were summarily
executed and buried in ditches at the Army Headquarters (behind the
latrines), we can also get the testimony of prison officials that will say
that they were among the last people to see some of these alleged coup
plotters alive. These prison officials will also testify that when they saw
these alleged coup plotters Lt. Saye was NOT there. Furthermore, people like
Barrow and Faal were in no position to partake in a gun battle with Sabally
et al at ‘Depot’. Clearly, by the time Sabally, Hydara et al transported
these innocent victims from Mile II to ‘Depot’, these victims were NOT in
possession of guns they can use to overthrow the government. So why were
they NOT arrested, incarcerated and tried for the alleged offence of trying
to overthrow Yaya’s government? Instead, what we had was Sabally et al act
as arresting officers, prosecutors, judge, jury and executioner.

They had to cook up a story to justify summarily slaughtering innocent and
defenseless Gambians. Being the morons they are, they went for the easiest
cover story: Self Defense. ‘They tried to kill us, so we killed them’.
Needless to say, this story is full of holes. Clearly, the morons did NOT
plan the execution well. They left their dirty fingerprints all over the
place and ended up making their cover story the most ludicrous story one can
give under the circumstances. There are literally hundreds of people
(including these prison officials) in the country that can testify that the
gun-fight (self defense) NEVER happened. This was nothing but a cold-blooded
murder triggered by panic and the desire to intimidate other soldiers. This
heinous act alone can take Yaya and his cohorts to the gallows.

I am also glad that you touched on how Yaya treats his ‘loyalists’ in the
army. As we approach October, I hope you will make it clearer and clearer to
our brothers in the army that the junta that is currently leading us is
populated by trigger happy morons that will not hesitate to sacrifice any
member of the armed force in order to stay in power. It was quite apt that
you gave the example of Almamo Manneh and the Sanneh guy that is currently
facing charges at the Army Barracks. Reading Sanneh’s testimony from the
newspapers today, one will not know whether to cry or to laugh. Colly, we
have a zoo back home. Because this involves a matter of life and death for
Sanneh, I will not comment on his guilt or innocence regarding these
charges. Suffice for me to point people to the daily routine Sanneh narrated
for himself. Also people should pay attention to the reason Sanneh gave
about why he was framed. It is just pathetic the way our country is being
run.

Like you Colly, I am confident that when push comes to shove in October, the
armed forces will side with the good forces of the Gambian people. Together
with Ivory Coast and Yugoslavia, we also had Fugimori in Peru. Once that
fateful order from the Dictator is defied, that is it. Obviously, the coward
will NOT come out with a gun to shot people matching towards State House to
evict him. He will try and use loose canons like Singhateh and morons like
Yankuba Touray, Babucarr, Jatta, Ousman Badjie, Baabaa Jobe to do the deed
for him. Needless to say, these low lives will also try to ‘delegate’. Once
the soldiers and police officers at the front-line decide that they are NOT
going to shoot at their brothers and sisters, it is over for the cowards.
The rank and file in the army and the police will NOT carry out Yaya’s
diabolical orders if they know that they will face dire consequences. If a
soldier knows that when he points his gun at one Gambian child, fifty
Gambian adults will pounce on him and break him to pieces, this police or
soldier will think twice before he allies with the Devil to continue to
visit untold misery on our people. But reading the situation on the ground,
I am confident that it would NOT even get to that. Yaya is finished.

I am encouraged about news regarding the powerful rally held by the UDP over
the weekend. Together with positive unity calls, the leaders also spelled
out their plans for a Gambia without Yaya at the helm. Gambians are
currently being given a very clear choice. We have unadulterated EVIL on one
side (APRC) and great vision and love for the country and its peoples on the
other side (the Opposition). The lines cannot be more delineated. I am also
thrilled when I see heavy-hitters like Karamba give it to the vermin where
it hurts the most. The magnitude of the corruption of this regime is simply
mind-boggling. No one have a problem with Yaya and his wife living a
flamboyant life-style. But for crying out loud, let the moron earn a decent
buck for a change in his life. We all know that had the High School drop out
not stolen power from a democratically elected government, he would still be
at Fajara Barracks begging people for ‘Ataya’ money. The moron does NOT have
the wherewithal to survive in any milieu without partaking in criminal
activity. Before the ‘coup’ he was stealing fuel from the Military to try
and lead a semi-decent lifestyle. Now the vermin steals millions from
Gambian taxpayers to lead a flamboyant lifestyle with his imported wife.
Clearly, the vermin’s flamboyant taste has been augmented. Only problem is
that he does NOT have the brainpower to handle a job that will allow him to
earn enough money to lead the lifestyle he has always dreamt of. Like the
low-life he is, he resorts to what he knows best: STEALING. Not gas this
time, but aid money. Well, his crimes will catch up with him and his
cohorts.
