Aunty Jabou,
Actually that was sent to the L my error. It was meant for a Psych
discussion group.
However, your points raised have been brought before by someone else. Only
in different words. Is there any reference to your conclusion I might refer
to?
Thanks.
Ousman Jallow Bojang.

Ousman,

I wonder if there is not also a wider definition of fixation to encompass
other situations and consitions.. For example, when a people try to get out
of a particular situation and no matter what they try, they tend to end up
with the same people who apply the same conditions only with a slight twist,
while telling them not to worry. And so they are trapped forever. They may
complain, and when they do, alas! they are termed insane by both by the
perpetrators, as well as by those who tend to see things through the eyes
of
the perpetrators of their suffering simply because it is more expedient and
self serving for them.
Those on the receiving end of this predicament also tend to have their own
theories regarding the perpetrators of their suffering and their helpers..
They see them as people who substitute competence and decency for brute
force, dishonesty and a penchant for smear tactics while labelling everyone
who does not see things their way as crazy .It is a sad state of affairs.

Fixation.

When people are unable to move from one topic to another. Th ey tend to
stick
or relate all topics because of their inability to move on. This is not only
a problem, it is a disease. Mostly kids with psych problems that may be
caused by certain experineces in thier live(s)are mor e likely to be seen
with this problem when they are grown.
