Which people? The praise singers who hope for crumbs from his table, and the
others who are collaborators in his many crimes against the people? They
hardly represent the mases of the people who have nothing but poverty that is
worsening under this regime, coupled with abuses of all sorts, and threats
and fear.

Was it not just the other day when our illustroius president in announcing
that he had lifted the ban on some of his fellow Gambians used his trademark
threat of burying anyone who threatens the security of the state "six feet
deep" in the same speech?

Everyone both in Gambia as well as outside now know that "threatening the
security if the state amounts to nothing more than just expressing your
opinion in Gambia these days. So much for meeting the aspirations of the
people. They need this kind of meeting their aspirations like they need a
hole in the head.

It is sad that you have been dispatched here or have come here thinking that
sending these sorts of responses to any criticism of this regime will
actually counter the reputation and documented atrocities that the World is
already aware of.
