Subject: [WASAN] Fulani interpreter wanted

The Office of Interpretive Services of King County Superior Court is
looking for a speaker of Mauritanian Fulani. The pay for the service.
If you speak this language or know someone who does, please contract
Martha Cohen, 206-296-9358.

A language encyclopedia indicates that it is probably FULFULDE, PULAAR
(aka PEUL, PEUHL) with the following regional populations; 175,000 in
Mali, including 40,000 Fulbe Jeeri (1995); 1,946,000 in Senegal (1995);
150,000 in Mauritania; 214,000 in Gambia (1995); 24,000 in Guinea
(1991); 180,000 in Guinea Bissau (1991); 2,689,000 in all countries.
Dialect: TOUCOULEUR (TUKOLOR, TUKULOR, PULAAR, HALPULAAR, HAALPULAAR,
FULBE JEERI). Related to Maasina Fulfulde (Mali) but distinct. So
speakers of the language by any of these names from any of the regions
listed might be helpful.
