Fantastic piece, I must say.  Bad ideas and terrible misunderstandings about
democracy seem to be the vogue these days.  This is understandable since
misunderstandings and misconceptions  will always be part of our lives.

However, to use the failings of the American democratic system to justify the
nonsense that is going on back home is an insult to all well meaning Gambians.
