In an unprecedented move the so-called Supreme Islamic Council (SIC) have altered its initial communication that tobaski will be observed in the Gambia on Friday, December 21, 2007. The SIC have subsequently announced that Tobaski should instead be observed on Thursday, December 20, 2007.

The day of Arafah which is the height of hajj is on the 18Th December Tuesdays.It is highly recommended for Muslims to FAST on arafah day .
The Eid cerebration's takes one day after Arafah .this year Tobaski is Wednesday the 19Th.many where expecting it t be on the 20Th but it fall on the 19Th instead.
it is also a sunnah ,very strong sunnah for financially stable Muslims to perform the sacrifice of a lamb,goat,cow or camel.depending on ones ability and tagwa.it is not an excuse not to perform the sacrifice,now people can buy the lamb from every country in the world.let us take part in this noble tradition.if for reason beyond our control we cannot slaughter were we live,then send money back home for them to sacrifice the animal for you.it is recommended to do it were one live .
in u.k people pay money in advance to meat sellers and they buy the full lamb on your behalf and the slaughter takes place after the eid prayer.then you either collect your meat or pay for delivery.last year a lamb cost about £50 ,may a £5 rise this year .
