The   death  of    the    Senegalese   musician   Ndongo  Lowe   has  been
announced.     Mr.Lowe  passed  away  on   Sunday  in    Dakar.
According   to   radio  news  cast  monitored   from   the  Senegalese
capital,   the  "Ndaga"   star   will  be  laid  to   rest   on  Monday.
Ndongo   Lowe's  untimely  demise   is    widely   felt    by  the
Senegambian  community  and    the  continent  as   a   whole.      He
was  one   of  ! the  best  musicians  in  Senegal.     He   had   a  lot
of   fans  in  The  Gambia   and  elsewhere  across  the  African
continent.

A    special     radio  talk  show   was  held   on  Radio  Tam  Tam   on
Sunday  to   pay   respect   to   the  departed  artist.      The  late
Ndongo  Lowe   was  said   to   have  released  a     new   album   prior
to   his  death.        We   join   the  bereaved  families   in  mourning
Ndongo   Lowe.      May   God   provide   space   for   him  in    jannah.
