Fellow Gambians

I came to you in humility and I beseech you to do a motherland some favours. O Gambians this is the moment of history. This is a once in a life time opportunity to salvage your country.

O Gambians I come to you knees down and put all my confidence in you that you will return The Gambia to the people.

O my people, this atmosphere of fear leading to our tears can only be comforted by your votes.

O Sanity, please reveal yourself to my people. There is either the right thing or the wrong thing. I am optimistic and I trust you for I am someone who knows very well that you are very patriotic.

O my people do not listen to the distractors whose only aim is to divide us. The APRC is desperate and they are trying to frame our honourable leaders with disparaging remarks. We are better than this. Let us not be distracted.

Our victory depends on your turnout, Go out and vote and vote for morality. Go out and vote and vote for democracy.

Today we are all the same in our genuine intention to free The Gambia. This is a coalition to ensure that our democracy is restored. This is coalition to ensure the climate of fear is a thing of the past.

Do not listen to the desperate APRC; they will label us but we have a message to you. We are the people to end your suffering. We ensure political pluralism. We will entrench the multi-party system and we will deliver on fair usage of the public media.

We are the people who will ensure civic education is taught in every school. We will demystify power and ensure that people are aware that power belongs to the people.

Some of us are in the diaspora, life is very tough here but we still manage to contribute and help back home and we are also helping in the democratic process of The Gambia. We love this country and those (APRC) who tell you that the people in the diaspora are unpatriotic are just speeding away at 100 miles per hour from reality. They are deliberately and expertly shying away from the truth.

O Gambians, please dry our tears, the sorrow is unbearable. The suffering is excruciating. The pain is agonising. The treatment is horrendous. Please Gambians, I am now on my knees begging you for the sake of our motherland. This is our chance; it is an open goal and please strike the ball in the net. Please my people!!! please!!! please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember we only need about 450,000 votes. Your turnout is essential. GO and VOTE and vote for Adama Barrow. He represents hope over fear. This is a representation of all parties save the GDC. We are NOT criticising them for they can choose either to play a part in the democratic process or become sedentary observers or spoilers. This is their right. History will judge all of us.
