The Teacher,the Le
The grandfather of Josephine was Teacher Mike Touray, the former Head
Master of St.Augustine's junior secondary. This was a school that the
church assiged to him to run for the community at lsrge. He was the best
in maths in the Gambia at one time and had the best handwriting on paper
and blackboard. He was an education consultant and ran many after school
study and work groups. He was blackAfrica intellect of the ordinary
people of the Church and to the missionarie in Face of the Roman
Chatolic Fathers. He had high self esteem and no complex while the
Fathers went on to put other semi-Africans in good business situations.
Teacher

Sporting Hero
He was a Footballer, a winger who in The soccer history of the Gambia
can only be compared to the likes of Biri,Aziz Coker and Eku Fobes.Only
a full profile of Teacher can reveal his greatness in sports. The family
has a sporting history. Josephine is blessed.

Flashback!!!
The late Pa Edu ( Eward Touray, younger brother of Joe Touray) was the
pride of Hagan street in youth soccer with Ole'man Owens and Pa Segan
,Yuku, John Njie Monte and Leon Prom they played both for St.Augustines
junior secondary Young Lions, Hamilton Vous, and the senior Brigette
Vous Team of Baby Rene and Taf Landa The Young one Peter Touray was a
soccer played with Santos Banjul and at Saints .Joe Touray was not easy
he was n all rounded .He ran 880 yards for Saints, relay 4x400.He also
did 440 hurdles and very tempremental and hot tempered. He was a;lso a
footballer and played for Saint Agustines for both the junior team and
later at form with little extra height he played for Atomic young
Auustines. Joe is my brothr who spent most of his time at 14,Hagan
street. Later they moved opposite to 70 HAgan street (at Mr Blain's). It
is good and pleasant to her this progression, which is Naturality. He
wrote letters for many local people who cannot read or write and also
register every one in his book for reference.People used to flock in his
house for all purose, from being a berber shop to a palm wine secret corner.

With his short trousers and a right shoulder hanging with brown leather
shoes and a folded sleeve shirt and a box with his reading glasses on
his top pocket. I can see him at work in the community in my
immagination. He lives in me.

I wish Josephine Touray and team a lot of success and a gold medal at
the Olympic 2004 in Athen, Greece

Blesseth Love
