Omar, you have touched my G.U.C, ie, my main nerve system. It is great to
reflect our minds back to those great players of ours who had greatly
contributed towards the development of Gambian football. My eyes were full of
tears when mentioned those gallant names,Alagie Nyan,E.k,saihou sarr,Aziz corr,
and the rest.Fantastic they were. What about names like Biri,Bill Badji,Edarr
Kah,Tony Joiner,Modou Musa,Essa faye,Malamin badjie,olu Reid,Lamin Owens,
Cummy Owens,Jumai jobe,Jumai Saidy,Mass axi Gai,Attaya Bojang,Lie Ndure,
Lui Tope,Captain Star Jallow,Bye Malleh Wadda,Baba Jarra, Boubacarr Sillah,
James freeman, Mustapha Minteh, sheik ndure,Borr Banjul,Star Janneh,
keeper sang ndong, etc. etc. etc.Cannot just type in all,but can still
remember others.Beleive me Omar, these names will never and ever be die,
remember others.Beleive me Omar, these names will never and ever die, as far
as gambian soccer is concerned. Can you remember the finals of the Papa Njie and
sons trophy played between Wallidan and Starlight some time in the early 80s?
One of the most exciting matches i have ever watched.Anyway, i need to run to
attend lectures.
