THE STATE HOUSE "JALIBA" OMAR FYE ON RAMPAGE-FREEDOM NEWSPAPER EDITORS REACT TO FYE'S ALLEGATIONS AGAINST THE PRESS!!!!
The new State House "JaliBa" retired Major Omar Fye, should continue with his sycophancy life and stop blackmailing Gambian online Newspaper publishers. Omar, we are more patriotic than you, who is hell bent on lying against innocent Gambians, committed in promoting the democratic goals in our dear country. We are not surprised about your outrageous accusations, because you want to impress Jammeh, who is often taken for a ride by "greedy folks" like your calibre. Omar, we have a dossier about your clandestine activities, which we will reveal in due course, God willing.
Sheikh Omar Faye, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of The President in Banjul was quoted by the Daily Observer to have "implored Gambians operating websites that were inimical to the image and interest of the country to support the national reconciliation bid instead of lingering in “rhetoric."
Mr.Fye, we are not involve in subversive activities. We are legitimate media houses committed in defending and promoting press freedom not only in The Gambia, but beyond. If reporting Jammeh's corruption and human rights abuses tantamount to being hostile to The Gambia, then so be it. We loved the Gambia, more than you, who mortgaged his life for the shake of position, personal aggrandisement and money.
The accusations you levelled against us, better suits you, since you are aiding and abetting a dictatorship that destroyed the fabric of society in our country. You stand to be accused of being an enemy of The Gambia and her people, in view of your sudden change of heart towards the dictatorship.Jammeh, himself is treating you with caution, whether you know it or not.There is nothing wrong to support the political party of your choice, but for heaven shake don't lie against patriotic sons and daughters of The Gambia.
Omar, we don't take your accusations lightly and God willing we will be vindicated.It is a matter of time for Jammeh to discover "the enemy within." We are not hypocrites, nor sycophants. We tell Jammeh the unpleasant truth. It is only the truth that can set you, me Jammeh, and other sister online Newspapers, you accused of smearing the image of the Gambian government free.
Omar, you belonged to a good family, called Fyen in Banjul. We still cannot understand what compelled you to work with a government that had caused untold suffering to our people. Gambians will not forgive your type, who are bent on trying to exploit the political weakness of Jammeh, to detriment of the nation. Governments come and go, but The Gambia, remains. The same Omar Fye, will disown Jammeh, if there was changes today. We know what we are talking about. A sycophant or political "Griot" don't have a permanent friend, but permanent interest. We have seen those singing the praises of Sir Dawda, today following the Jammeh vanwagon.
Some of us being called names by these unpredictable "Jalibas" are wolfs in sheep clothing. Jali Neneh Macdouall-Gaye, also joined the fray to lecture us about responsible journalism. Chei!!!! Neneh was over the years, involved in junk journalism. She tried on many occasions to distort facts regarding the political situation in our country. This is a woman, who used to travel upcountry to prepare faked documentaries on Jammeh's so called developmental projects.
Her objective was to undermine her colleagues at the GRTS. Despite the fact that she was seniored by Jainaba Nyang, and Borra Mboge she was given special treatment by Jammeh to jump the ladder. The same Neneh, was appointed Minister by Yahya Jammeh, even though there are more competent people at GRTS to man such a portfolio. Her close relationship with the President is not a secret in the country. Go ahead with your "Jaliba" business and stop preaching things that you will never practiced. We rest our case.
