Mr. Touray:

While you have a right to disagree with me, I also
have a right to speak for myself. My politics
calls for inclusion. I cannot turn my back on the
barred politicians, NRP and PDOIS to categorize the
UDP as the standard bearer for our future. We must
do this fight collectively. If we fail to reach out,
we will be defeated. Who will we blaim? Condemning
the UDP is actually an asset in evaluating the party's
position. The respond I am getting is to continue calling for unity and engaging the UDP. Has
the UDP already made a decision on the choice for a
collective opposition candidate? Please let us be
realistic. Ousainou is your choice. Is this endorsed
by collectively?

I do not know how old you are, but you seem to be
inexperience in Gambian politics. Do you think that
SM Dibba, Hassan Musa Kamara, OJ, Lamin K. Jabang,
Dembo Jatta, Amulai Janneh, Baba Touray, Ebrima
Janko Sanyang, MBemba Jatta, Kalilu Singhateh, Landing
Jallow Sonko, Sajo Touray (your own brother), MC Cham,
Sir Dawda K.Jawara, Bakary B. Darboe, and the rest of
the PPP and NCP have not mend fences to join together
collectively? Do you know what is going underground
in the Gambia and abroad between these former enemies.
Previous enemies who were at one time friends can
easily forget their differences and join together. What will happen if they emerge with a candidate of
their own? Will the UDP disintegrate?

All I am asking for is for the UDP to lay its case
on the L. You are just a partisan supporter who just
happened to join the struggle lately. This is not
a condemnation, but an apprehension.
Will the UDP accept a single candidate endorsed by
a collective opposition who might not be your party
leader? Is this position acceptable?

Naphiyo,

Comrade ML Jassey-Conteh, MBA
