One Abdoulie Baldeh, a relative of one Musa Touray, a co-defendant in a
civil suit had defied a High Court order, as he was caught burying
charms at the compound of one Joy Buchanan (the plaintiff) at Tranquil
Village in Brusubi.

The High Court, presided over by Justice Basirou VP Mahoney, on the 6^th
of May 2010 gave an order and granted an injunction restraining the
defendants in the said civil suit, by themselves, associates, family
members, agents, and anyone claiming whatsoever authority from them,
from making any acts or omission that will derogate or affect the
plaintiff's quiet enjoyment and occupation of her house in Tranquil,
Brusubi, pending the determination of substantive suit before the said
High Court.

It could be recalled that the plaintiff field a civil suit at the said
High Court against one Musa Touray, the 1^st defendant and Alhaji Ebrima
Kebbeh of Tranquil Village in the Kombo North District of Western Region.

The presiding judge, however, gave the 1^st defendant 14 days' ultimatum
to file his statement of defence, but he had refused to do so and the
court having heard the submissions of the plaintiff counsel, Lawyer
Uzoma Achigbue, and the counter submissions of the 2^nd defendant
counsel, lawyer SM Tambedou, proceeded to deliver an order restraining
the defendants, either by their agents or associates, or family members
from making any acts to affect the plaintiff's quiet enjoyment and
occupation of her house.

The plaintiff among others is claiming from the defendants jointly and
severally the sum of one million and seven hundred thousand dalasis
(D1.7 M ) being balance of the money transferred by the said plaintiff,
received by the 1^st defendant for remission to the 2^nd defendant for
payment of a portion of land of the 2^nd defendant's land in Tranquil,
Brusubi.

Meanwhile, after the presiding judge made an order restraining the
defendants either by their agents or associates from interfering with
the plaintiff's property, Abdoulie Baldeh was last Wednesday caught
buying criminal charms at the plaintiff's compound. The said Abdoulie
Baldeh was eventually arrested and taken to Brusubi police station,
whilst the police are conducting investigations into the alleged act.

According to the plaintiff, there is no record of who prepared the
charms, where he came from, what the charms were specifically for. It
was however revealed that the said Abdoulie Baldeh with the 1^st
defendant's mother, Jariatou Baldeh, were taken to Brusubi police station
for further investigation.
