Ladies and Gentlemen,
fellow citizens,

I wish to inform you that your emails and your remarks have been very
fruitful on the subject of a decent burial and memorial monument for the
victims of the attempted coup of 1981 in the Gambia, in which many
gambians lost their lives. In the month of December 2003 whilst I was in
the Gambia, I visited the memorial monument, erected by the minister
Bala Jahumpa. The memorial site is located between the burial grounds of
the muslims and the christians in Banjul, in the new reclaimed sea side
of Banjul which looks good for a perfect burial for our noble souls.

May their souls rest in peace.

A luta contuina
