Dear Brothers,
I do believe that we owe it to Sir Dawda some real respect. I recall
our freedom to call him names that we saw fit. I demonstrated along with my
commuting friends for school buses when i was in high school,
true some of us got bad beatings but nonetheless leave to tell the story!
What we have in the Gambia then was not a leadership problem but
a huge lack of assistance. It used to be 'semi-ok' to loot public funds now
it is a GOD given right!
The truth is all of us are responsible for our national mess and it will
take all of us to clean it up.
The sooner we stop blaming each other and takeup action to solve our
national problem the better. It should not be what somebody did wrong by
her,it should be what you did right by the country of your origin.
I have no doubt, by the use of our collective intelegence, that God
will present us any challenge that we cannot solve. While we must demand for
individual accountablity the process should never blind us to
see that we owe it to eachother to take action to protect and saveguard
eachothers lives and rights to pursue happiness and individual growth.
                      Sincerely kalilu camara
