                                                        EDITORIAL [input]
We are shocked to learnt that The Gambian leader, has once again vowed to kill more Gambians in the year ahead. While, blood is still staining on his hands, President Jammeh, uses his new year eve interview with Kebba Dibba, to kill voices of dissent in tiny West African country. There are so many uninvestigated murder cases pending in The Gambia, and yet Jammeh said he will not mind to kill more Gambians in the year of 2006. Families of the late journalist, Deyda Hydara, Omar Barrow Ousman Koro Ceesay, Lieutenant Alma mo Manneh, Corporal Dumbuya, November, 11, murdered soldiers, lawyer Ousman Sillah and students demonstrators had clear cut case now against dictator Jammeh. We urge you to use Jammeh's interview to register a case with the International court of Justice, to seek justice. It is time to teach a lesson to monster Jammeh, to avoid further killings and maiming of innocent and law abiding Gambians.

There is sufficient evidence to suggest that Jammeh, had a hand on these atrocities. Each time Jammeh, addresses the nation, he will demonstrate to all and sundry that he Jammeh, is blood thirsty and his preparedness to take more lives. We have a President, who is out to kill with impunity. Instead of showing remorse for the past crimes, he had committed against The Gambian public, Jammeh is telling the whole world that he doesn't care and had no regrets whatsoever, for the atrocities he committed. We are indeed concerned about Jammeh's plan to kill our peace loving fellow citizens. His statement is not the least the promising at all. It is a bad new year message. We condemn it in the strongest terms.

Hear this statement from Gambia's most popular and leading politician Omar Amdaou Jallow, OJ condemning Jammeh's threats in an interview with a local paper in The Gambia.“Once more I was shocked and dismayed that some of the statements made by the president during an interview with GRTS on New Year’s eve in which he continued to castigate the leadership of the opposition and then threaten to kill twenty thousand Gambians and still go to bed and sleep, were most uncalled for and alarming. It is unfortunate that we have such a leader who on such occasions people expect him to make statements that would usher in national reconciliation, assure people of their security, make proposals that would enhance the living conditions of the people, and that would improve the governance environment. But since 1994, he has been making statements that contravene the letter and spirit of our constitution and all other norms that promote reconciliation, peace and stability.”

Jammeh, as we told you the other day, we are aware of your determination to jail and kill us. We also do know that, you have created a list of perceived enemies, critics or whatever you call them, to kill in the year ahead. You started your pre-warnings messages in 2004, with the killing of veteran journalist Deyda Hydara, the attempt on lawyer Ousman Sillah, abducting of citizens. Now that you had announced to complete your so called "OPERATION FINAL TOUCHES, or MOPPING OUT OPERATION, IF YOU LIKE", we want alert the international community about the looming political crisis in The Gambia. The civilised world need to intervene to avoid seeing blood birth Gambia. We do not want to witness further killings in The Gambia.

Knowing the type of person Jammeh is, he is capable of going extra miles to open mass graves for Gambians. He is currently being aided and abetted by blood thirsty soldiers, who are on stand by round the clock to execute his evil orders. These killers are sons of The Gambia. For some reasons, they decided to mortgage your lives just to satisfy Jammeh. We do know that some of these hid squad operatives, worked at the state house and are only answerable to Jammeh and Jammeh alone. They drived tainted cars with no registration number. They forcefully abducted Gambians at the middle of the night. The lucky ones returned home, while others disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

The whereabouts of the government's own party administrative secretary Foday Makalo, remains unknown. While some say, he was abuducabducteduried at a local garden in Barra, some say Makalo, is still on the run. This government, instead of telling us what happened to Foday, they came up with a press release announcing that he was wanted. Mr.Makalo, is survived with a family and none his family members, can tell you with certainty, about the whereabouts of Foday.

The same government abducted UDP'S Single Nyassi, for days. They denied in an open court, that Nyassi, was not in their custody. It was at the eleven hour, that Jammeh and his conspirators were forced by a court order to provide the body of Momodou Lamin Syngle Nyassi. Attempts on Lamin Juwara's life and past abductions. We can go on and on to name the atrocities carried out by Jammeh. You can see the type of repressive regime, we have in The Gambia. Jammeh's secret police, are hell bent on killing, torturing, and jailing Gambians with impunity. These torture chambers and secret police Jammeh, is operating will one day come to an end soon.

It is imperative to note that the freedom of Gambians, lies squarely in their hands. We should stand firm and be counted to end this Jammeh madness. 2006, is an election year. We gathered that Jammeh is hell bent on arming his hit squad boys to strike again. We should be "EACH BROTHERS KEEPER, DURING THIS TRYING MOMENT OF OUR POLITICAL HISTORY." We should jointly fight the enemy, if they come for us at wee hours. We should say no to politics of banditry and black mailing. We should say no to politics of killing and maiming. It is time we start arming our citizens to engage in self defense. We must defend ourselves, since murderer Jammeh, is not keen at respecting the liberties and God given freedoms of Gambians.

Little, did Jammeh knows that he is implicating himself, by reaffirming his determination to extend his killing culture. We shall hold you responsible for the killing of any of our love ones in the year head. We are vigilant and will continue to be vigilant. Nobody is safe in The Gambia, today besides Yahya and his hit squad. It is time for Jammeh's sponsored killers to put aside the love for money and promotions. Remember, the same Yahya Jammeh, will disown you one by one, as he did to other operatives. The lucky ones are jailed indefiindefinitelyhe rest killed. He wouldn't want those he had fallen out with to spill the beans-not knowing that the truth cannot be supressuppressedtruth shall prevail at the end of the day. Jammeh, bear this in mind.

The jailed majority leader, Baba K Jobe and other soldier imatesinmatese Mile Two, contributed to the Jammeh terror campaign. It was Baba Jobe, who instigated APRC supporters to ambush and possibly take the life of UDP leader, lawyer Ousainou Darboe. The same Baba Jobe, walked into the Basse police station and tored statements gathered from eye witnesses to the said incident. Whether, acknowledged or not Baba had carried some dirty works for Jammeh. Baba, was reporting directly to Jammeh and he Jammeh was happy with Baba's terror work. It was Jammeh, who instructed Baba, to take some Gambian youths to Libya for military training. The same youths were used on their returned to involve in local terrorism activities. They burnt down houses, Newspaper outlets and physically attacked opposition supporters.

Interestingly, some of the said youths started to spill the beans, after they had fallen out with Jammeh. One of them Fabakary kolior Camara, who later joined the opposition UDP, explained to a Kiang meeting, how they were ordered by Baba Jobe, under the directives of Jammeh, to forcefully eject and expel Lamin Waa Juwara from a good governance workshop, organised by the UNDP. Juwara, was indeed forced to leave the workshop and later declared "pasanograta from Jarra." You can see how powerful these Libyan Gambian trained military operatives were. They can arrest, detain and torture Gambians....Fabakary, also narrated how they were used by the government to vilify perceived opponents. Despite his apologies to The Gambian people for the unwarranted sufferings he meted out to people like Juwara, some of his colleagues are yet to explain their side of the story.

The same Fabakary kolior Camara, who was interviewed by journalist Alhagie Mbye, said that he had ample evidence about Baba Jobe's arms dealings and was ready to testify in an international court of law. Camara said he was a living witness to the arms trafficked into the country by Jobe, thanks to the support of the government. The said piece provoked the NIA, who resorted to arresting him and Alhagie Mbye. The agency says the story borders on national security. Camara was forced to retract his statement with the intention of landing Alhagie Mbye into trouble. He spent three days in custody. "He was forced to change his political loyality to UDP, even though he was wearing UDP T shirt, while in custody"said journalist Mbye, who recounted his NIA custody after his release.

We learnt that the interrogation sessions were charatcharacterisedtimidation and threats. NIA officials messrs, Demba Ceesay, Tijan Bah and other agency officials took pictures of the detainees. Mbye and Camara were threatened with jail, if they failed to desist from commenting on the said UN arm embargo against Baba Jobe. You can see how powerful was Baba? The emerging new Gambia, is going to be interesting- interesting the sense that there are a lot of untold stories in the minds of Gambians. Let us remain united and chase Jammeh out of sate house come 2006, polls. Death threats will not save you from going. We rest our case.....
