Greetings, all, I do not feel that I have enough knowledge to comment on
this subject. I'm still reading through all of the messages on this
subject, so perhaps I will be enlightened or someone else will enlighten me
in the future, Inshallah. As far as I know though, this man is a Muslim, so
all I can say is that to Allah we belong, and to Him is our return, may
Allah reward him for his good deeds, and forgive him and have mercy on him.
From what I do know, though, the Mourides have an interesting beginning and
history, and accept for the Bai Faal (spelling?), who clearly have some
issues, I.e., they don't believe in praying, fasting, etc., to my knowledge,
and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not away that the main branch
of the Mourides are doing anything necessarily "wrong" Islamically, though
perhaps questionalble for those who know more about it than me.
Allah alone knows best, though.
