Joeand Bambalaye,
I'd like entirely associate myself with your
take on the key question of state sanctioned thugs. You are correct in
asserting that the persistent nature of the abuse has a direct correlation
to the fact that people have by and large not defended themselves. A masked
jack- booted thug who appears at an innocent man's door in the middle of the
night ought to be treated as a garden variety criminal. Compliance of their
criminal behavior is why their creulty and barbarism has become
institutionalised. If one or several of these thugs are met by a hail of
bullets on one of their kidnapping sprees, the nation's long national
nighmare would begin it's overdue journey to decency and respect for human
life.
Karamba
