The article that has been forwarded here is OJ's
reaction i.e his personal opinion concerning the
siezure of his passport. In an earlier article
concerning this same issue, it was reported in the
Daily observer that OJ travelled to Zimbabwe
without informing the judiciary or government while he
is facing 8 counts ranging from common assault,
conspiracy to commit a felony, criminal tresspass and
misdemour amongst others. It was reported that the
magistrade handling his case only knew of his absence
from the country when his case came up and he was
informed that OJ had travelled to observe the Zimbabwe
elections. I understand that the magistrade concerned,
Magistrade B.Y Camara was not pleased. He was
reported to have asked therhetorical question whether
the Commonwealth did not know that OJ was facing a
criminal trial. An IEC official, when asked about
OJ's trip, said that whereas the commonwealth could
invite anybody to observe elections, it is common
courtesy for the electoral commission of that
individual's country or government to
be informed.

Have a good day,
