One of the Speakers, Dr,Ablie Saine who will be attending and presenting a paper at the conference in Atlanta, during the July Fourth festivities. In his own words: "this Report is based on a three-month personal experience in the Gambia. It represents a slice of what is a complex set of realities. It describes and analyzes the Gambia's changing political, economic and social landscape. It also critically evaluates the performance of the AFPRC/APRC regime(s) and make policy suggestions for improvement"

Dr.Ablie Saine, hails from Kaur, attended Armitage High and Yundum College, and for a number of years taught at Crab Island and Kerewan Junior secondary. He holds a Masters and Doctorate degrees in African studies and International Political economy from the University of Denver in Colorado, another Masters in International relations from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Dr.Saine is presently a Professor of African Studies in Miami University in Ohio.
