BREAKING NEWS:LEGAL VICTORY FOR EAW GROUP-JAMMEH'S MOTION DENIED BY A US FEDERAL COURT!!!
BY OUR WASHINGTON DC, JUDICIAL CORRESPONDENT
Attempts made by The Gambian government to block the death threats, bribery and corruption scandal allegations raised by the EAW Group, INC, Chief Executive John Aycoth, suffered a major set back, as the District US Federal court today denied Gambia’s request for the trial to be stayed. Gambia cited issues of national security to block the high profile suit brought against the Presidency, but the court rules that the matter was set to proceed come May, 3oTH, 2006. Today’s legal developments, will allow the EAW Group, INC to give evidence on the death threats allegedly received by its Chief Executive, bribery and corruption allegations involving top Gambian officials.

  HOW LONG WILL THE SIMILES
  LAST JAMMEH?
The EAW Group, INC is claiming half a million US dollars against The Gambian government for breach of contract and loss of earnings. The leading US lobby firm says in its court documents that President Jammeh failed to honour contractual agreements signed in May of 2000 to October 2002 for the firm to sell the tiny West African country’s image to the civilized world. Among other things, the EAW GROUP, INC, was tasked with the responsibility of attracting US investors into the country.

JAMMEH WITH JOHN AT GROUND ZERO
  IN NEW YORK
It would be recalled that Gambia’s legal representative citied state secrets in the last hearing to block the said proceedings. “DEFENDANTS MOTION IN LIMINE COMES NOW the Defendant, The Republic of The Gambia, and moves for an order precluding the following evidence at the trial of this matter: 1. State secrets; 2. Alleged bribery and/or corruption involving Gambian officials; 3. Alleged shopping sprees by HE. President Jammeh; 4. Alleged death threats against John E. Aycoth since the filing of the Complaint; 5. Documents not produced during discovery.“ said a motion filed by the defendant’s attorney. The Defendant, the document went on “relies on the attached Memorandum of Law. Case 1:02-cv-02425-GK-AK Document 89 Filed 03/01/2006 Page 2 ot2 WHEREFORE, the Defendant, The Republic of The Gambia respectfully ruests that Honorable Court enter an Order precluding the Plaintiff from introducing the aforementioned evidence at the trial of this matter. March 1, 2006
Respectfully submitted.” said the deposition filed by The Gambian government.

THE EAW PRESIDENT
In a dramatic twist today, The Gambia government failed to secure it request to block EAW Group’s death threats, bribery and corruption deposition. The EAW has been given the green light to comment on Jammeh’s US shopping spree and other issues mention in the said suit.
The Gambian government denied to accept liability on the said half a million dollars law suit. Claims made by the EAW Group, INC, that the said contract was applied to the letter was disputed by the government. The government is battling out the case in court, but today’s ruling will sent a shocking waves to the state house in Banjul. The court had denied the government’s motion to block this high profile case, ever registered in a US federal court.
Meanwhile, a representative of the EAW Group, INC, confirmed the court ruling to the Freedom Newspaper. The EAW Group, INC, representative told the Freedom Newspaper that they were extremely pleased about today’s ruling. ” We are extremely pleased with the Federal court ruling today in our favor and we looked forward to our day in court. The court ruling today will now allow the truth on what EAW did on behalf of President Jammeh and the government of The Gambia from May 2ooo to October 2002. The truth is on our side. The truth supported by facts to win this case.” said the EAW representative.
The EAW Group representative confirmed that the President of the company wants The Gambian people to know about the great amount of work that the company did on behalf of The Gambia and its efforts to bring investment to the country and how these projects were blocked by corrupt cronies of the President, whose interest was not for The Gambian people.
Prominent Gambian business man Amadou Samba’s name appeared prominently in this trial. Samba was accused of hijacking projects like the proposed fuel depot and flour mill project. This trial will no doubt spill the beans, as this administration is in the habit of engaging companies without passing through the right channels.
