Mr Saine

Sometimes I get the feeling that the opposition back home is
not interested in our efforts or do not take us seriously. Its
been a while since Mr Conteh and others proposed an election
fund drive and a platform for a united opposition. I have the
feeling that since we do have opposition stalwarts amongst us,
they should relay our stance to their respective parties who
inturn will let us know what their stance is on this proposal
of a coalition.

I for one do not think any one political party stands to win
come october. I also believe that if the opposition back home
does not harbour any power hungry motives, they should be able
to  put  their  differences  behind  them  and  take  the  right  path;
which in this case is uniting with other oppositions. The way
things are right now, I am pretty much sure Hamad Bah will
join any coalition but I think the UDP thinks it will have
enough votes to win while PDOIS is all about what the
modalities of a coalition will be.

If these opposition parties fail to tell us what their stance
is regarding a coalition, I am not willing to spend my hard
earned dollars to any one cause. October is real close and we
need to know if these people want to come together or not.

Lameen Barrow
