I want to personally welcome you to the debate. I can see that
you are new in this kind of stance. It is apparent that you are upset
at something. Maybe Mr. Yahya Jammeh's days are about to be over.
We are praying for this day. We indeed need sanity in The Gambia.
If we can constructively debate and leave insults, it will serve
us better. You see dear brother, the L has been a treasure for
me because it has played an integral role in my development. As
humans beings, we are learning day in and day out. We can achieve
a lot if we bring maturity to our debates.
I hope you will understand where I am coming from. Gambians are
so traditional and cultured that insults and personal attacks
are not our norm. I again want to welcome you to this debate.
We are so small that the person you are insulting may be related
to someone within your family tree. Please be considerate.

President Jammeh said a lot of truth when he talked about the ratio of
doctors to patient ratio in the Gambia compared to a lot of other countries
and if it 250:1, this is true. I will suggest you do a better research on
that before jumping the gun.
On celebrating the July 22nd. before meeting his dream to have the whole of
The Gambia electrified, I wish we as Gambians can understand the difference
from a political sppech and having good intentions for the nation. I agree
that it was an over statement, and he could have said it better, but can't
you atleast see that he is trying to meet his promise. If I am right, when
he made that statement, he had a contract with a foreign contractor, and if
things does not come out as soon as he expected, he could still celebrate
the BIG DAY.
Obviously just remembering the BIG DAY Jawara and his cohorts were removed
is worth celebrating.
And on your note why qafter 7 years he continous to compare his regime with
the past, who ro what else should we compare it too? Do please try to come
up with suggestions and not only criticise as i have seen in most of your
pieces here. A 7 year rule is obviously uncomparable to a 30 year rule. A 7
year rule with some developments is certainly better than a 30 yearrule with
NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING.
It is true that a lot of mishaps took place under Jammeh's watch, but give
the guy credit where it is due. He did farbetter than most expected under
the conditions.
I know most of us keeps talking of the sad events, but tend to forge I can
compare the two.
