The Independent Electoral Commission of Cote d'Ivoire has declared Allasan
Ouattara eligible to stand as the RDR candidate for Kong in the December
Legislative elections. M. Emile Bombet of the PDCI has also been declared
eligible to stand.  Both politicians were declared ineligible during the
Guei regime.  Perhaps, Cote d'Ivoire is finally extracating itself from a
political disastrous path and on the road to political plurality and
tolerance for the good of the country and the sub-region.  Sidi Sanneh
