SIERRA LEONE

Newspaper editor released on bail pending trial

Philip Neville, the editor of the privately-owned Standard Times  
daily newspaper, was released from Pademba Road prison late yesterday  
after paying bail. No date has yet been set for his trial.

Le directeur du Standard Times remis en liberté après avoir payé sa  
caution

Philip Neville, directeur de publication du quotidien privé Standard  
Times, a été mis en liberté provisoire le 3 juillet 2007 en fin de  
journée après le paiement de sa caution. La date de son procès n’a  
pas encore été fixée. Il était détenu à la prison de Pademba Road.
