I have checked with the UPCnet and it is not like that.
However, when I checked against the Ghana/UnionNew List, they have the same
problem as that one we in the Gambian List, where the REPLY button returns
to the MailList instead of returning to the sender of the mail.
I want to believe that it is a configuration problem or the software they
are using.

My humble advice is that please don't mind about responses bouncing to only
the send - this happens in the UPCnet and I am always duty-bound to find out
from the writer if the reply is meant for me only or for everyone..
Kindly correct this configuration if you don't mind, becuase I have been
seeing so many PRIVATE communications here ending up as a broadcast. At
least give it a fair trial
What do other members say?

You are right, "reply-to" by default is set to "LIST" (Gambia-L. This
settings can be changed to "SENDER" but then you will have the same problem
the other way round because comments will be automatically sent to the
sender instead of to the Gambia-l which is not the purpose.
This setting is delibrately done to avoid comments mistakingly being sent
only to the sender but to all subscribers. Is it not what a mailing list
like ours is for?
