Yero you had me going also for a bit. And this is why:

My disposition and encouragement is;
A coalition or synergy of willing and desiring parties without coercion or
fenagle. Then diasporans can all be encouraged to support and energise.

So the theme and fashion you shared was right along my alley but then I
sobered up and determined:

How come the announcement of such union becomes Yero's exclusive
domain??????? Naah!!! If I had seen the same announcement at All Gambia, Thegambiaecho,
Senegambianews,Freedomonline, and The Gambia Journal, (not one without the
other) I would have done cartwheels!! Drink milk! Does a body good.

It was not a good April Fools's joke. Good newspapers leave April fools'
jokes to comedians and bloggers. Don't get encouraged in that Ma Yero, as
tantalizing as the prospects might be. It was not fun and laughter. Get your fun
elsewhere.

Sister Jabou,

I am really sorry for the trouble i caused you or anyone. If the piece
touched my kotokeh Haruna like it did to you, I would have laughed a 'taphey' in
this forum till another dawn. But thanks to both of you for your mild
rejoinders. Bro Haruna, I know you read something else from it. I also join you
humbly in that prayer.

How would life without humor look like? Honestly a boring one at that. I ask
to be forgiven especially where people were quoted, for it was strictly an
April fool piece. I confess that the quotes attributed are typical of what
they could utter. I understand it can make others very excited. The trap was for
a friend of mine, a good mentor and very political. His concern for a united
opposition knows no bounds. As soon as the story posted, I put him on the
phone, and directed him to follow the news story while on the phone with me. I
could hear him say a hundred times ‘Chaa Gambia rechuunah’ before getting to
the bottom of the piece. To all those that enjoyed it as a supplication for
a united opposition, I say ‘amen’ and May Almighty God destine it.

With love & kind regards.,
YJ
